Anand Lobo parts out his time as a cover musician, music arranger, music teacher, sound engineer, amateur programmer, and electronics hobbyist. He grew up listening to classic English music and Western classical, as well as playing the viola in orchestra. He is a part-time member of the Stuti Ensemble in Goa, and the Bombay Chamber Orchestra. An electrical engineer by education, Anand's project for the past few years has been Lemongrass Acoustic Trio, a cover band with the unique sound of mandolin and viola - complementing an excellent guitarist and three-voice vocal harmony - and building a repertoire of over 200 cover songs. Anand is honored to perform music on the TEDx stage again after previously performing at TEDxBITS-Goa in 2016, and opening TEDxGateway in Mumbai in 2020 with the Bombay Chamber Orchestra and beatboxer Tom Thum.

Fun fact: Anand built the microphones used to amplify his instruments!

Malaika de Souza is a professional singer whose soulful voice blends pop, R&B, and retro influences. Growing up in a musical family, she began performing alongside her father and has since built a career filled with heartfelt performances at weddings, events, and venues across India. Jason is a guitarist and vocalist whose journey began with the disciplined touch of classical piano, completing all 8 ABRSM grades before discovering the raw, unfiltered energy of the guitar. Drawn to the spirit of blues and rock, he spent his days trying to emulate the magic of legends like Hendrix and Jimmy Page. Yet his sound refuses to be confined to a single genre. From neo-soul to grunge to acoustic fingerstyle, Jason believes music is a constant evolution—an ever-shifting landscape to be explored. Guided by his passion for jazz, he takes pride in improvisation and in crafting rich chord progressions and melodies that reimagine familiar sounds in unexpected ways. Since childhood, Jason has been inspired by TEDx Talks, captivated by their ability to spark new ideas and perspectives. Always eager to expand his musical horizons, Jason has also recently taken up the saxophone — partly inspired by Coltrane (but mostly just to play the iconic Careless Whisper riff ).

Fun facts: Outside of music, Jason works as a software engineer, loves to hit the gym regularly and enjoys trekking as well as following Premier League Football.
